Weird Planet 3.1

Weird Planet is an action game from MyPlayCity.com. The game has 3D models, but it is a platform scrolling game, meaning that you can only play in 2D. You can move forward, backward and jump. You use the mouse to aim, controlling the cross-hair, and shoot.

You find yourself in a Weird Planet infested with monsters. Luckily, you have weapons and know how to use them. The idea for the game is actually really good, you don't see many platform scrolling games with mouse aiming. The first signs of trouble are the main menu and the splash screen, that seem to have been made with PowerPoint. Once you start the game, you get the feeling that you are going to enjoy it - you run through a small track and blast a giant spider. Then there is a bend on the road, where you must wait until that bit loads. If you are lucky, you will keep playing until you find another bend. The client is very unstable, especially when loading. It is prone to crashes, which gets very annoying. The game could be excellent if the client was more stable. Unfortunately, the frequent crashes make the game unplayable.
