West LiveNote is a powerful transcript and evidence management program that can be used to ensure that you get the most out of every proceeding. The application enables you to view and work with deposition transcripts and it requires a SQL database for full functionality.

Video
- You can modify the start and stop times of a video to synchronize it with the annotation text. You can play a video from any place in the text, and have it stop at the end of an annotation or play on through the testimony. There are additional abilities detailed in the help text.
Offline
- Author Users and above have the ability to delete their own quick marks and annotations offline, as well as cut and paste them. Power Editors also have the ability to perform these functions for themselves and others.
Sorting
- Sorting is now offered for Full Text Searches and Search Reports.
Change to Key Facts
- The feature for sorting Key Facts reports has moved to the Key Facts Report Properties Display tab.
Groups Button
- The Groups button is now on every window of the Data Import Wizard and was moved to the left bottom corner.
Case Map
- The linking from Case Map to older versions of West Case Notebook is improved.
Cursor Modes
- When you select modes for your cursor, such as Annotation mode or Select mode, the system now retains those modes for your cursor until you close West Case Notebook or select another mode.
Annotation Icon
- When you view annotations that have attachments, a paper clip icon appears to the left of each affected annotation. When you click the icon, West Case Notebook opens that attachment in its related program.
Copy
- The Copy (with Page and Line) for transcripts now also includes citations.
Increase Indent/Decrease Indent Buttons
- These buttons were re-oriented to match Microsoft Word.
Annotation Range
- When you select Display Annotations in the footer, the annotation shows the range.
