What's Playing Now (WsPN) is a Status menu that displays the name, artist, and album information for the song that is playing currently in iTunes and provides easy to access menu controls.
Features:
• Play/Pause
• Next/Previous Song
• Mark the currnet song to never play
• Mute/Set Volume
• Set Shuffle and Repeat modes
• Allows you to display the current song in both iTunes and the Finder
Because the What's Playing Now menu resides in the Status Bar with items like Airport Status and the Clock, you can always see what's playing, even if the iTunes window is closed, without the need to hide other app windows or change Spaces desktops to locate the iTunes window. You can also easily control iTunes playback directly from your status bar menu.
v1.1 [Mar 1, 2013]
Renamed app to "What's Playing now" because of trademark issue.
Fixed an issue with Album or Track names that contained embedded double quote (") characters.
Returned the display font to the system standard font.
Please note - if the currently playing song and artist info exceeds the available width of the statusbar area, Finder will hide the What's Playing Now menu until either the current application menus are reduced, or a new, shorter track / artist combo plays. This is normal and there is no way (that I've found) to get a notification from Finder to indicate this has happened.
