The program supports various types of data storage containers, immediately analyzes the selected folders or drives, and provides you with accurate reports. What's more, you can find other useful capabilities on its main toolbar. For example, you can use the integrated duplicate finder to quickly locate similar files and permanently remove them from your Mac.

In my testing, the utility found various duplicates in my Desktop folder. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to delete any of them because I was using the trial version of the program. Other trial version limitations include the ability to remove language files from your Mac, empty Trash, etc.

However, WhatSize might prove to be of good use to those who need to constantly check and alter the disk space usage on their local and external drives. It's feature-rich, provides you with many useful built-in tools, and comes with a fair price.
