
Wings 3D is a program for modeling and texturing of elements created with a low number of polygons.
When we open the program we can see that two windows opening at the same time one is the program and the other is a window call Erlang, the program is based in this language. The program shows a Menu bar, a toolbar and a window.
We can open, save, import this formats (ndo, 3ds, fbx, eps, iwo, ixo, obj, pov, rwx, stl, wrl and x) and we can export the same formats too. We can import an image, render with OpenGL or POV-Ray or install different plug-ins.
By clicking the Edit button we can select the preferences of the program, handle the plug-in manager or select the plug-in preferences.
The View button we can use for changing the ground plane, axes, workmode, clipping planes, wireframe, and more. In the select we can handle the edge loop, adjacent, lights, all objects, inverse, hide select or unselected, store or recall a selection and a group.
With the tools button we can align, center, set defaults axis, take screenshots of the same window that we are working, put on ground, unitize, connect and more.
With this program we can create 3D designs in few steps, is very easy to use.

- Major update to the Traditional Chinese translation of Wings including AutoUV, many plugins, tools, and other interface strings. Many thanks to szzz for this amazing contribution!
- Wings could crash when launching and opening a file at the same time . The cause was the ets table for fonts could not be written to while the Progress Bar was active. ets tables can only be accessed from the process they are created in unless specifically stated. In Wings the PB run on a separate process so accessing the ets font table while the PB was active led to a badarg since the call was not allowed. The font table is now set to public so it can be accessed by any process. (Thanks to dgud and those who reported the crash)
- Help dialog formatting adjustments for Asian fonts.
- Improvements to Body|Weld for handeling neighbouring faces.
- Update to the the Korean translation to include the interface strings and some key plugins including AutoUV. Many thanks to korea3d for this wonderful contribution and for reporting the string errors he found during the process.
- Body|Combine and Weld would crash when magnet mask data present. Now fixed.
- Edge|Circularise|MMB now handles multiple open edge loops.
- Menu Toolbar pref added for mouse snap behaviour.
- Some window properties were not being loaded. Now fixed.
- New Feature: Select|Deselect Previous subtracts the previous selection from current selection.
- Edge|Dissolve has been modified to succeed more often.
- Added pref to use larger icons for the Menu Toolbar.
- New Feature: Edge|Flow Connect connects edges with respect to the angles of the surrounding geometry.
- Shell Extrude fix. Could crash if extruded in wireframe.
- A bug in the tweak keyboard event handler has been fixed where key up events were being recognised when they shouldn't.
- Some fixes to Sculpt mode.
- Sweep Normal removed. Sweep virtual mirror handling improved.
