WINPACCS cost control allows transparent and efficient cost monitoring and budgeting for development cooperation and humanitarian aid projects. It enables users to create financial reports and accounts for the different needs of donor organizations. Single projects may be assigned to specific users and, if required, may also include administrator rights. A password protected login procedure guarantees that only authorized users have access to the project data.
v3.3 [Oct 13, 2014]
Confidential data:
- Whether a user may access the organisation’s confidential information or not can now be configured in WINPACCS online. It means that only selected users can view confidential postings and budgets. As a result, the access to confidential information can be controlled conveniently.
Optimised automatic data interchange:
- The linking of the WINPACCS application with one another via the Internet is gaining ever greater significance. Extensive improvements to convenience, reliability and the speed of the automatic data interchange have thus been implemented in order to keep the WINPACCS system fit for the future and user friendly.
- Also new is that the users are now informed directly if new accounting data is available in WINPACCS online that can be imported into WINPACCS cost control.
Cross-project reports:
- To permit better analysis of the cross-project costs, the cross-project reports for the analysis by project internal structures and cost categories have been completely reworked. These can now be configured with the help of a convenient wizard.
Extended voucher view:
- The voucher view now offers still more optional information for the user than in the past. The columns “Company currency”, “Rate in company currency” and “Individual voucher” have been added. The information presented in the columns “Project internal structure” and “Cost categories” have been optimised to make them easier for the user to analyse.
Optimised filter options:
- The filter options have also been optimised in several areas. These are now more closely linked with the validity ranges of selected budgets. The Budget reports have been optimised to make the filter settings selected easier to see, which facilitates analysis of the reports.
- Besides a detailed display of a number of filters, the linkage between the main and sub-account filters has been reworked. From the present version onwards, only those sub-accounts will be available for selection in the “Sub-accounts” filter that were assigned to the previously selected main account.
Rollout of a central project list:
- The information on an organisation’s projects will now be held in a central project list, which is synchronised with WINPACCS online. Via this, the key data of all existing project master data can be viewed in WINPACCS cost control.
