WinRAR - RAR ZIP 7Z Unarchiver is, as the name implies, a software tool for decompressing archives or archiving data content of various file types. It can be easily downloaded and installed from the Mac App Store within a couple of minutes.
Its GUI is represented by a simple main window with two tabs, one for decompressing archives and the other for archiving files. The tabs are well delimited and the navigation through the menu is intuitive, but there are lots of screen spaces that are unused. Also, there are no graphical customizations.
When it comes to its technical capabilities, the program supports the decompression of various file types, like RAR, ZIP, 7Z, TAR, or GZ. To create or extract the content from an archive, you simply have to select the needed tab and browse the system for your file(s). From there, once you select the desired format for compression you only have to press one button and you're done.
Briefly said, WinRAR - RAR ZIP 7Z Unarchiver is a simple, free and intuitive tool for creating or decompressing archives. What's also good is that though it's free, it doesn't have ads or commercials.
