WinX Rip DVD to iPhone Mac is a free DVD ripper for the Mac. The application allows you to copy or convert DVD movies to MPEG-4 or H.264 video files. The iPhone can play those quite fine, but so can your computer, the iPad, the iPod touch and a variety of other mobile playback devices. There are nine available conversion profiles with optimized conversion settings for the iPhone, nine more for iPods and you can also convert those DVDs to music formats. All of these settings can be found on the bottom part of the screen, in three different tabs that read "To iPhone", "to iPod", and "To Music".
WinX Rip DVD To iPhone Mac's graphical user interface looks a lot like video converters that WinX has made for window. The buttons seem to be identical. The user interface works well and it is responsive, though. It is just a aesthetic problem that I have with apps that don't make the switch to the Mac quite well enough.
In terms of performance, I can say that this app works very well. It was really easy to convert a DVD movie to one of the iPhone profiles. It even supports subtitles and multi-core processors.
