Wirecast is an efficient tool designed to enable professional-looking live-streaming events. This application supports several sources for capturing events, including many types of computer cameras, the Blackmagic and Osprey & Matrox multi-capture cards, as well as the computer desktop.

Wirecast not only allows you to broadcast live events, but also gives you the possibility to personalize your video streams. Thus, you may add external audio input, video clips, movies, and even text to the contents that you want to stream. In addition to this, the program includes a picture-in-picture option, enabling you to view multiple windows at the same time. Moreover, Wirecast grants you the possibility to add either shots that contain a live source from the Internet, or some that contain media files from your local system.

As far as the design is concerned, this tool includes five different master layouts. To access and personalize them one has to go to the “Layout” menu and select the “Go to layer” option. If you need to quickly set up the layer for a certain live event, you are also able to use the hotkeys, also listed under the above-mentioned option.

To conclude with, Wirecast is an efficient tool that comes with a well organized user interface. By using this program anyone is able to broadcast any kind of live or recorded streams from sports events, personal videos, or even meeting conferences and lectures.
