Wondershare DVD to iPod Converter is an app that lets you rip your DVD movies. This process entails the conversion of your DVD movie to a video file that you can store and play on your computer and, in this case, on your iPod. The app can convert your movies to a few different formats, including MPEG-4, H.264 and M4V. Those formats will play on all Apple devices and most computers as well.
This DVD ripper has an nice looking graphical user interface. The layout is similar to many other converters out there. It is a very good layout, the one I have come to like. The interface has a toolbar at the top that gives you access to the video editor and the DVD load window. Right on the screen, before you load a movie, you will see instructions on how to use the application. At the bottom you will find the configuration options. There is a menu that you can use to select the format or video conversion profile. The app offers eight conversion profiles available. These are simply pre-set conversion options that are optimized for a specific device.
When you load a DVD movie, you will see all the DVD titles that make it up. You can select the ones that you want to convert. Usually the longest title is the main movie. You can use the built-in video player to play the titles before you convert them.
