Improve statistical analysis of your documents. Integrate the solution with your text editor or document reader and process the files to see the numbers for words, characters, sentences, lines, and paragraphs in every opened document. Copy and compare the values.
Word Counter is a very simple application that allows you to count words and characters in a text or multiple texts. You just need to type, paste, or drag any text, or you can even drop files and folders into the application. To know the amount of words and characters present in the text, you just need to click on the Count Words icon at the bottom of the application window. The program can also be used from other applications, such as Text Edit, to count the words very easily. Most text editors include word counters, but this application is more complete and allows you to perform other tasks apart from just counting words and characters.
I think that one of the most useful options is the ability to count the number of instances of a certain word in a text. This search can be case-sensitive or not. Other useful options are the Word Frequency feature, which tells you the number of the times the words appear in a text and the character length, and the Readability Statistics, which informs you about the number of syllables, monosyllabic words, short words, and grades your text according to multiple indexes and formulas. All this information can be printed or exported to a .TXT file. I really cannot find many uses for the program, except for translators or writers, since the application can help them analyze the text to work with in order to provide a quote.
To conclude, if you are looking for a simple but useful application to analyze your texts thoroughly, Word Counter may work for you.
