Yatzy is an entertaining game for Mac where your objective is to make certain dice combinations and defeat your opponents by getting the highest score. The app lets you choose between various versions of Yatzy, provides you with a comprehensive help guide, and lets you play with up to six players per match.
The rules are very simple: you roll the dice for a maximum of three times and choose the optimal combination. On the left side of the screen you will see a scorecard with all available dice combinations (for instance, three of a kind). Once you finish your turn (roll the dice for three times), you can choose the preferred combination from the scorecard. Once selected, the dice combination becomes unavailable. So, you can't choose it once more.
The app also provides you with various settings for changing the appearance of the board, adjusting sound volume, etc. However, your progress is lost if you access the Settings menu while playing a match.
I like the fact that you can challenge your friends to play a match. However, you will need to use the same computer and take turns. Hence, you cannot play the match online.
In conclusion, you should try this game if you're into playing Yatzy on your computer. The app lets you choose between many game modes, offers you various options, and comes with a reasonable price.
